Last year's event...

The Teller and Bitterroot Valley Greenwing Chapter hosted the Greenwing Banquet Saturday, August 29, 2009. A record number of youth, 87 kids, attended The Teller/DU partnership event. A 33% increase from 2008! The youth events began at 9:00 a.m. with lunch at noon. The events included: Wood Duck boxes and Art Contest, Dog Handling, Decoys/Gun Awareness, Duck/Goose calling, Bird ID and Biology and a Laser Shooting contest for youths with a valid hunting license. Registered youth hunters also applied for limited 2009 youth only waterfowl hunts on The Teller and Double Fork Ranch. A silent auction and back pack raffle entertained the adults while raffle prizes, including two youth guns and prizes for the Art and Laser Shooting Contests.  Every kid went home with a wonderful prize and knowledge about waterfowl conservation and hunting practices. Thanks to Jon Miller and the DU Committee for all your hard work! A special thanks to all the sponsors who underwrote the event including Dick and Judy Estler, Double Fork Ranch, Game Trails Wildlife Studio, Wildwoods Log Construction, Rockbar Masonry, Farmers State Bank and Missoula Federal Credit Union.
